I can't believe how much attention this article has gotten. It's spread so far. But...it's assinine really. Apparently there is no "Public Law 42-576." Furthermore, that the U.S. could or would arbitrarily take possession or integrate a sovereign nation into it is a glaringly obvious mistake. It makes no sense that the U.S. government, its public or the people/government of Haiti would stand for this. Politicians just giving up power? No mention of a vote or any ratification or agreement by the Haitian people? What are we idiots? "Articles written by Bert Cazy" At least make it somewhat believeable. I think that a good idea but don't forget that, Haiti is a dangerous contriy. none contry can't take care of it. it's a independent contry any body can't make it come back over occupation. if yes i think it will have a new 1804. and i will be the Dessalines.
I think is a good idea, but an a way I don't think it will be %100 ok with every 1, because of what we went through to get are independance, it's realy painfull to see what Haiti become, and can only imagine if Toussaint, Dessaline, and Capois Lamort and other heros had a chance to come back a live and see what is going on in Haiti now, boooooooooooooooooooooooooyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!! you know some people had to answer quetion, but an a way it's a good idea, at the same time it can be rumor so let's watch and see.Enough is enough! You don't make a country become a territory from a well written article.we just want the united states to change their policies toward Haiti. if we are where we are, they are the one to make that to happen to us. They treated Haiti for her independance. we dont need them at that level. we just need policies changing so that we can manage ourselves. Our proudness is :'' initiating freedom in the world.''Loosing our independance is loosind proudness of first nation black independant , our identity. we really dont need them at that level. they reduced us in our simplest expression because of what we did in the past.
